    An interesting paper describing IVI-CFAR. The authors use OS CFAR in the leading window and CA CFAR in the trailing window by removing the already-detected target from the list before evaluating the trailing window. The authors use a combination of the variability index (VI) and the mean ratio (MR) to determine the CFAR threshold and achieve good P_D and P_FA in both homogeneous environments and in the presence of clutter / other targets in the reference windows.
